Light Up a Life

Light Up a Life is The Valley Hospice Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year.  The community is invited to contribute in memory or honor of a loved one.  With their contribution, they are entitled to send in a tag that they can personalize with the person(s) name(s).  Some families even decorate the tags with colored markers, stickers, and photographs. The ability to do so makes the experience a very personal and meaningful one especially around the holidays.  Some even write notes or messages to the special person that is no longer with them, which can be a great comfort during the holiday season.   The Valley Hospice Foundation has six trees throughout our service area. Trees are located at Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South in Wheeling, West Virginia; the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville, Ohio; the Belmont County Historical Museum Gazebo in Barnesville, Ohio; Perkins Restaurant and Bakery in Moundsville, West Virginia; the Fort Steuben Mall and the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio.  All trees are decorated with doves and in the Valley Hospice signature color of teal.  Donations can be made online or by mail.  All proceeds from initiatives of The Valley Hospice Foundation go directly to support the programs, people, and facilities of Valley Hospice, Inc.
